Welcome to DUUF! We are a church that is about genuine inclusion, depth and joy, reason and spirit. We have been a voice of progressive religion in Denton since 1949, working toward a more just and compassionate world in all of what we do. We have been on the forefront of LGBTQ+ initiatives for decades. We hope that when you come here you will be part of our quest for spiritual growth, ethical action, truth-seeking, and improving the community and the world by our actions.
Rev. Pamela Wat, Minister
Rev. Wat began as Minister at DUUF in September 2010. She has a B.F.A. in Related Arts with a concentration in Dance from Kutztown University in Pennsylvania, an M.A. in Creative Arts/Interdisciplinary Arts from San Francisco State University and a Master of Divinity from San Francisco Theological Seminary. Prior to coming to the Fellowship, she served as a hospice and hospital Chaplain. She volunteers with OUTreach Denton, a program creating resources for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and allied people in Denton, and she offers her leadership to local interfaith efforts. Rev. Wat lives in Denton with her spouse Erik and their cats Happy and Ravioli and dog Clyde. Pam enjoys running, reading, and playing ukulele…but not all at once. Video and audio of some of her sermons can be accessed at DUUF Sermon Archive.
Rev. Wat is available by appointment Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (and on other days as scheduled). Rev. Pam gladly welcomes appointments at the Fellowship or elsewhere around Denton. Contact her by phone (940-566-1286) or email.
