Who We Are

Welcome to DUUF! We are a church that is about genuine inclusion, depth and joy, reason and spirit. We have been a voice of progressive religion in Denton since 1949, working toward a more just and compassionate world in all of what we do. We have been on the forefront of LGBTQ+ initiatives for decades. We hope that when you come here you will be part of our quest for spiritual growth, ethical action, truth-seeking, and improving the community and the world by our actions.

Professional Staff:

Rev. Donna Dolham, Minister

Donna holds a Masters of Divinity with a certificate in Ethics and Justice and a focus on inter-religious dialogue from Andover Newton Theological School and a Masters in Social Work from Boston University. Donna’s interests have engaged her in several immersion courses exploring Buddhism in Myanmar, Sufi practice in intentional communities in California, and Multi-religious education in Israel.

Since her early 20s, Donna has been involved in community organizing efforts to increase access to basic rights for people living on the margins.

Prior to attending seminary, Donna had a full time clinical social work practice in Coastal, Maine with a specialty working with Transgender and Gender Queer folks and their families.

Donna’s desire for infusing life with justice fuels her ministry and involvement in the development of opportunities for inter-religious education, dialogue and collaborative organizing. She currently shares her life with her wife, Katherine Perry and their two highly incorrigible cats.
