At the October & November 2021 meetings, the discussion topics of top importance were the pledge drive and the development of the 2022 DUUF budget. The board is concerned that donations are currently below the amount needed to support our social justice and programming plans. The board is committed to presenting a balanced budget for approval by the membership in December; the prospect of cutting funding for programs and aspects of worship services is looming large.
Other board business at these meetings included: planning for becoming a reproductive freedom congregation, review of hybrid worship, updates from the interim minister regarding various teams (shared ministry, minister search, transition, religious education, programming for adults), further exploration of ideas for improving aesthetics at the DUUF building and grounds, and upcoming fundraisers (DUUF T-shirt sales and the Alternative Gift Market in December).
Did you know the board welcomes visitors at the monthly board meeting? See the DUUF calendar for a zoom link to our meeting the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Please feel free to drop in!
