We’re proud to announce the new Cahun & Moore Trans+ Community Group. The group is named in honor of a queer couple who celebrated their gender nonconformity through art, despite laws at the time banning “cross dressing.” When the Nazi regime invaded their town, Cahun & Moore continued their resistance, by secretly placing art that challenged Nazi ideals in places where soldiers would find them.

This group will be a trans led & trans centered space honoring that legacy of resistance & resilience, by fostering queer community, art making, self expression, and celebration of gender nonconformity. All trans, nonbinary, genderqueer, gender non-conforming, and questioning folks are welcome to join us for hangout & art making on second and fourth Sundays every month from 6pm-7:30pm, starting next Sunday the 12th. Second Sundays will be hybrid meetings, with both in-person (at DUUF) and online options. Fourth Sundays will be online only. Some limited art supplies will be available for in person meetings, but please feel free to bring your own!
