Our Whole Lives (OWL), comprehensive and inclusive sexuality education, helps students gain the knowledge, life principles, and skills they need to express their sexuality in life-enhancing ways. In this class, led by trained facilitators, students will put sexuality into the context of values and personal responsibility, develop strategies to manage social pressure, and discover ways to advocate for equality.
Parents/guardians must attend a mandatory orientation to see what topics will be covered and address any questions. Parents will be asked to provide weekly snacks on a rotating basis.
This class is open to all area students currently enrolled in grades 7 through 9.
Cost is $100 for community members; $75 for DUUF members. Masks are required indoors and will be available in the classroom. A Discord server will be available for participants to discuss topics outside of class. This will also be utilized in the case of illness or absence.
